About Me

I am a senior research geologist and petrophysicist at the Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) as well as an adjunct professor at the School of Geosciences of the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining OGS, I spent the last 2 decades (since 2003) working for Corelab, Halliburton, ExxonMobil, Petrofac Malaysia, Murphy Oil Corporation, and Madagascar Oil. My research focuses on geo-energy, geological well-logs interpretation, big data and artificial intelligence analytics in geology, and reservoir characterization and modeling.

With strong experience in exploration and production geology from several onshore, offshore, and ultra-deepwater basins worldwide, including both conventional and unconventional reservoir of siliciclastics and carbonate rocks, I established the Energy and Mineral Resources Laboratory (EMReL) at the Oklahoma Geological Survey in May 2020. The objective of this research laboratory is to investigate energy technologies and sources that interact with the geological subsurface in the state of Oklahoma.
